Watch: Curing 4041 people in two provinces in Nepal

Spanning four districts in Nepal’s Madhesh and Bagmati Provinces (Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi & Sindhuli), the Tej Kohli and Ruit Foundation organised 69 screening camps and screened 18,711 people from April, 2021 to March, 2022.

Of the 18,711 screened, the Tej Kohli & Ruit Foundation identified and cured 4,041 of blindness at Shree Janaki Eye Hospital, Janakpur alone.

In its first year, the Tej Kohli & Ruit Foundation has cured more than 15,000 of needless blindness spanning across all provinces of Nepal in its mission to fight extreme poverty by making treatment interventions to cure cataract blindness in the developing world.
